We are looking for a Cheese Making Apprentice to assist in the dairy. The main job requirements are a love for cheese and an eagerness to learn! Experience in food production, artisan produce or the dairy industry would be an advantage, but not essential for this role, as you will be trained.

We’re a young modern company with a small team here at Beyond The Burn Farm and everyone mucks in! All roles include all aspects of the business from the cheese making to placing the final packaged product on the lorry out for delivery.

The right candidate will learn everything there is to know about making our cheeses. This role will involve making various cheeses, brining the cheese, packaging the cheese and working on the development of new products.

This role would suit someone living in and around the Dumfries area.  Once trained and commitment is shown there may be further opportunities in the future. The right person should be able to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week with the role and responsibilities growing over time. This great opportunity to be part of a growing business, learn some new skills and part of welcoming team!

There are many job opportunities available through DGTAP, we will help you find these opportunities, check your eligibility for funded posts and apply for them. For more information, please visit www.dgtap.co.uk
