An opportunty for young people to develop relevant skills and knowledge of both the foresrty and agriculture sectors while still at school as the start of a pathway to a range of oppportunties post school: Employment including Pre Apprenticeship and Apprenticeships as well as further study.
Land based award:
Undertake an SQA accredited work placement one day a week developing transferrable workplace skills while in senior phase at school.
Additional knowlede and understanding units in agriculture and forestry delivered in partnership with a local college.
Provides a sound preparation for apprenticeships, employment or further study in this economically important sector.
